Nibedita Sen

Foreign/ Defence Correspondent, social media marketer and On-air Host

I've covered a range of story topics including the defence, environment, health, gender and rural reports. I strive to meet people where they are, telling stories for their community, so I travel to know and document the trails of changing lifestyles. I investigated food insecurity, traveling to cities and tribal lands to hear from those who received help, those who did not and those who still need more in the ways of government assistance.

While my main format is print, I am versed in photography and videography, as well as editing software, and have mainly produced photo and video during breaking news events.

Have a look at some of my work and feel free to reach out through my Omni Channel shared below.

The Journey as a Defence Correspondent

DCC 2018 had been a beautiful journey that left my mind enlightened and spirits lifted

Visiting the disputed areas and line of actual control (LAC), Bumla, Lumpo, Khinzemane to witness how our soldiers live in  intense conditions was not a mere opportunity but a matter of prestige.

I could feel the vibration caused by bomblasts and rounds of firing amidst of the calm air and quiteness of the green. Never in my life have I ever expected to taste 'jalebi's made by soldiers, while sitting in the middle of the NamkaChu mountain ridge.

Patrolling at Sino- Indo border and closely observing the day and night struggle of Indian soldiers on 17,000 ft high mountains made me turn those goosebumps into words and documents.
